Precious Patch of Sky by Zac Tan

With an opening through a window of a burning sun, Precious Patch of Sky is a small book that seeks to hold a world much larger than itself, however briefly.

Drawing from Zac's photographic archives from 2024, the book traces a gaze through small, ordinary and undramatic moments, capturing stories in strangers and spaces, finding within them something romantic, mysterious and deeply felt. It is a collection shaped by longing: to feel close to the world, while somehow remaining comfortably out of touch, always trying to hold onto what passes us by.

Windows and portals reappear throughout the book in different forms, carrying the images between dreaming, watching, waiting, and the passing of time.
